Connect with nature through a “forest bathing” walk

Fitness & Wellness

Did you know that simply spending an hour outdoors can help fight depression, lower your blood pressure, and improve your short-term memory? Those are just some of the benefits of “forest bathing”–a Japanese term for a mindful walk in the woods. It’s as easy as walking in any natural environment and allowing yourself the time and space to reconnect with what’s around you. Making peaceful memories in the outdoors–of places we want to preserve and enjoy–is a simple, yet impactful way to keep ourselves passionate about protecting our Earth.

Just remember: This is no fitness challenge. This is walking meditation. The secret is to go slow–smell the air, feel the Earth, and take in the sounds around you for 60 minutes (or more!).
Give it a try!
